Representatives CATIH Hepatos - Zagreb attended by the third module of educational program ELPA University and Advisory Bord Meeting of ELPA 2016 (European Liver Patients, Association) in Warsaw, Poland, in December, 5-8th, 2016.
Educational Impact Program (ELPA University) is designed to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations, in this case the Association with a focus on diseases fungal liver.
Lectures and exercises this module were focused on the role and importance of advocacy in terms of the implementation of the EU initiative at the local levels. Topics were health and liver diseases, pediatric liver diseases and treatment options in different countries gathered in ELPA.
ELPA University attendees presented own achieved results by presentations, which they learned in class during the previous module. There was prepared a common social-media campaign which will start very soon. There was also conducted the training on behavior during the interview, and we got introductory knowledge in key performance indicators. Very instructive exchange was also the experiences that we heared about from our colleagues from Finland, Sweden, Russia - Saint Petersburg, Russia - Moscow, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Greece.
Below the ELPA University Programme, thanks to the Advisory Bord Meeting of ELPA, we got the information on new researches and drugs, as well as the impact of implementing the recommendations of the World Health Organization to the public policies in all the countries.
ELPA, as a European umbrella association of liver patients, organized a consultative Advisory Bord Meeting for the purpose of calibrating the knowledge and capabilities to its operatonal area, as well as helping their member states in terms of data collection for negotiations through the use of public policies in their countries. Except the members of mentioned countries, joined us also members from Germany, United Kingdom, (2), (3), Italy, Israel, Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Serbia, Macedonia and Turkey.
